There is no card to read. You tell us how many courses and what you cannot eat, and the kitchen does the deciding — with what the region is actually giving that week.
How it works
One surprise menu, in three lengths. Everyone at the table can pick a different length; the courses arrive together anyway. Tell us about allergies and intolerances when you book, not when you sit down — then the kitchen cooks around them from the start instead of improvising.

Allow three to four hours for the evening. The midday menu is the same menu; last entry is at 13:00, and lunch runs until about 16:00.
The reservation form is in German, but the fields are simple: date, time, number of people, and a free box for anything else. Writing to office@lieperts.at in English works just as well.
Wine
Holger Massner, der Weinsteirer, is our sommelier and looks after the wine pairing. Most of the wine comes from the hills you drove through to get here — Sauvignon Blanc, Morillon, Welschriesling from growers a few kilometres away — with detours where a detour is better than the local answer.
If you take the pairing, do not drive. There are four rooms upstairs, and the regional guest taxi WEINmobil runs daily from 10:00 to 23:30 — +43 3454 94 127.
Honestly, before you book
There is no menu card. If choosing your own dish is part of the pleasure for you, this is the wrong house — and we would rather say so now than at the table.
We are closed Wednesday and Thursday. Two people cannot cook seven days.
Reservation only. There is no walking in, not even at midday.

Is there a menu to choose from?
No. There is one surprise menu in five, six or seven courses. You choose the length; the kitchen chooses the rest.
When does dinner start?
On Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday the doors open at 18:00 and the first course is served at 19:00. Allow three to four hours for the evening. We are closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
Is the menu also served at lunch?
Yes, on Friday and Saturday. It is the same menu and starts at 12:30. Last entry is at 13:00, and lunch runs until about 16:00.
Do I need a reservation?
Yes. Reservation only. There is no walking in, not even at midday.
